I am looking for any relatives of Lilian Lacey. Unfortunately, not much is known of her family life. She was born in Norfolk in the late 1800's/early 1900's. She was the eldest child of a large family. Her mother died giving birth to Lilian's youngest sister; Lilian then had to care for her baby sister until she was 14, when her father sent her away to Wisbech to work. She married my grandfather, Leonard Hite in the 1920's and they settled in Upwell, Norfolk, where she worked as a cook at the local secondary school. Lilian and Leonard had three daughters: Barbara, Lenore and my mother, Christine. Anyone who has any information, please contact me. Thanks. xxx |
