I am trying to find out any information about the Cooks and the HAWKINS who lived in Upper Chute, near Andover, Hampshire during the latter part of the 19th century through to the late 1970s. Three notable residences that were lived in were Hyde Cottage, High Ridge (pulled down) and Forest Cottage. My father,John Turner, a direct descendant, now lives in Forest Cottage, which is at the end of Forest Lane. His grandmother was Amy Hawkins (nee Cook) (1887 - 1976)
