COLE OR FISHER My grandfather was Thomas Claude Fisher. His father name was Thomas Cole and his mother was Gertrude Partridge, we are therefore puzzled how Grandad ended up with the name of Fisher. Grandad and his two sisters were the product of Thomas Cole's mistress Gertrude Partridge. I am trying to find ancester's and relatives who may go by the name of Cole or Fisher. My grandfather Thomas Claude Fisher had a twin sister Marjorie and another sister Dolly. We understand Thomas cole came from Jersey at one point and we think he had a son called Clary who used to visit sometimes. We also understand Mr. Cole (my greatgrandfather) was well off as the children of this second "marriage" all went to private school. Mr. Cole was I believe a Civil Engineer? If this rings any bells to any-one it would be so interesting to find out more as because this 2nd family was hush hush, we have never been able to make any contact. Carole Pope |
