I am looking for information on my maternal grandmother. The only information that I have is that her maiden name was Alice Mary Hughes and she married William Henry Marsden who was born in 1910 in Croydon. I believe she may have been originally from Sheffield. She was evacuated to Bonnyrigg, Midlothian from London in WW2, she had 5 daughters: Elaine, Sheila, Merlyn, Patricia and Denise (my Mum). She left when my Mum was quite young and my Mum never saw her again, and knows very little about her or her family. I think she may have died in the sixties. I would love to fill this gap in our family's history. Thank you. |
