Member Since: January 0001 Posts: 0 Send Message	Eliza Louisa Longden - Wife of John Paget Sweny, Major in Ist King's Dragoon Guards,married about 1825, possibly in Paris, France, by whom she had six children; claimed to have been born at Southampton, according to Census information , but no baptism has been found in the So'ton area. Longden is a S. Yorkshire (Sheffield) name, and the Army Returns of Service (1829) list an officer of this name, but no marriage. Unfotunately, there is no R. of S. for J. P. Sweny. He was living in France at this time, having retired from the Army in about 1826.
