HI, I'M TRYING TO FIND 2 GREAT AUNTS. THEY WERE MY GRANDADS (FRANK) SISTERS AND WENT TO AMERICA BEFORE THE WAR. THEY USED TO SEND FOOD PARCELS TO MY GRANDAD WHO LIVED IN SWINTON, MANCHESTER, UK. AS FAR AS I KNOW THEY WERE UNMARRIED WHEN THEY EMIGRATED SO THEIR NAME WOULD STILL BE MILLINGTON (WHICH IS MY MAIDEN NAME) MY GRANDADS BROTHER WAS ALBERT, HE MARRIED HILDA (SURNAME NOT KNOWN) THEY HAD A DAUGHTER ELSIE AND G/DAUGHTER KATHLEEN. MY DAD HAS A SISTER MARY AND BROTHER ERNEST (ERNIE) WHO IS NOW LIVING IN YORKSHIRE. I BELIEVE MY G/GRANDAD WAS FROM THE CUMBRIA AREA AND CALLED JOE, HE MARRIED TWICE BUT I DONT KNOW THE NAMES OF HIS OTHER CHILDREN. ANY HELP MUCH APPRECIATED |
