I am trying to trace relatives of my Grandfather. Charles Henry DAVIS. The family came from BRISTOL. N.B. Then Bristol used to come under GLOUCESTER. He was Charles Henry DAVIS 1901 - 1983 Charles married Amelia Alice WALTER.Charles had one unmarried sister Elsie May DAVIS Charles's father was Charles John DAVIS born c1867 in Clifton He married Emma Louisa MAY in Barton Regis Bristol Charles John DAVIS was a Painter and we understand that he used to paint the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol. He may have had an sister who worked in service in Clifton Bristol Emma died 21 May 1934 and is buried in Arnos vale cemetery Bristol along with her husband and several other members of the family. Charles John DAVIS parents were John DAVIS born Clifton Bristol c1828 and Mary also born Clifton c 1828. John and Mary had maybe 6 children Mary, Frederick W, Henry, Henry George and Alice A.
