I am trying to find any relatives to my Great Grandfather Alfonso (Frank). He came from Italy and is mentioned in the 1881 British Census aged 23. I am told he came over as a shoe maker with a brother. His occupation in 1881 was Ice Cream Vendor. I beleive he married an Antionette Schuller? My Grandfather(William Lewis Alfonso) was born in Campden Town, London in Feb 1895 and was one of 5 children. The family moved to Great Yarmouth and my Great Grand father set up his own family Ice Cream business selling on the local market and on Great Yarmouth Sea Front. This continued until the death of my Grandfather in 1977. |
