My Grandmother was Eleanor Martha Jones, nee GREEN, but I have so far been unable to trace the marriage of her parents, John Green and Alice Symonds. They were both born I think in Kidderminster, Worcs., around 1845, and therefore married about 1865-70. Granny was the eldest of 4 children, I think: Eleanor, Emmeline, who never married and went to be some sort of missionary in New Zealand till she had to return to the UK to care for her father John Green. (she later went blind), Osman and Arthur.I'd be most grateful for any info. about the parents. John's mother was Cecilia Ann Cary/Carey, born in Gloucester about 1820-30, died sometime in the early 1900s. I'd love to know her exact d/o/b and the names of her parents. I've been completely stuck at this point for several years! |
