Trying to trace my mothers genetical father named Alfred Gert Randall lived in Ipswich Sussex and was an only child. Had Aunt who was childless surname Gert. Alfred then added her surname to his and became next of kin. Alfred was in the second world war in the army. Alfred married Catherine Grace Davidson in 1946 and my mother was born 17th March 1947 named Catherine Victoria Randall. they lived in 45 Mary st. Salford 7 and later moved to 78 Fenny st. Salford 7. Alfred then left in 1949 after announcing he had got another woman pregnant and wanted her not my grandmother. He was then thought to have gone back to Sussex. Never heard from again.
