	My paternal grandmother was Eleanor Margaret Smith nee Horne. The family apparently have roots in the Isle of Man and Cumberland, but I don't know how it is all connected. Her father was a mining engineer who did some work in South Africa, which is where she was born. They moved back to Cumberland where my father was born in Frizington. Does anyone have any info. that would help?
