I am trying to find any information relating to any of the Carpenter family from the Wood Green area of London. My grandfather was Fred Carpenter (Frederick John or John Frederick) Married Anne Fahey also of Wood Green. Three children Janet (died in childhood)Anne born circa 1938 Married Jim Smith John my father (also Frederick John or John Frederick) born 1940 and married Jacky Carpenter in 1958. I do know that my grandfather had a sister Alice and several brothers but unfortunately I'm not sure of their names although one may have been Sam. My great grandfather was apparently Sam/Samual Carpenter possibly from Somerset who moved to London to teach locals how to look after Shire Horses. My great (or great great) grandmother was alice Budd who at one time was the oldest woman in the country (107ish). |
