Member Since: March 2003 Posts: 1 Send Message	Hi, are there any Latchford's from Essex who DON'T go as far back as the 1600s? I recently discovered my family changed their name to Latchford from Luchfutt (sp) during the outbreak of WWI as they didn't want to be associated with Germany at that time. I don't know who in my family made the change & was quite disappointed we probably aren't descendants of Jeremiah. If there is anyone else from the name changed Latchford's I would love for them to get in contact & compare family trees. Ruth Latchford - [email protected]
