Member Since: March 2003 Posts: 0 Send Message	I am trying to find any family links to the Payne name in Yorkshire. My father in law was William Payne (1905-1980) I have traced the line back to 1881 then drawn a blank. I have William's father as Thomas Payne, born 1873 in Yorkshire, and his father is shown on the 1881 census as William Payne born 1838 in Sebburn, Hampshire. This must be an error because there is no such place. I would love to hear from anyone who can shed some light onto this puzzle.
