Hello All I have just started trying to put a tree together and would like to locate any relatives of Rosalie Fligg (1918) and May Fligg (1915) from Redcar, UK. Other siblings are/were Peter (last known address in Scotland), Norman (nickname Kit), Hazel (possibly in Australia), Vincent (believed to have served in South Africa). Mother's name Elizabeth, possibly 2nd wife of the Father (name not known). I believe all children were born and grew up in Redcar. Rosalie attended Redcar West Dyke Senior School until she went into nursing in 1938. She married Marmaduke Turner (army) and was resident at 4 Winchester Road, Redcar whilst he was on active service abroad. They had one daughter, Valerie Ann (born 1940), who in turn married Peter J. Blewitt (RAF)- 2 children Alison and Rachel. May Fligg remained single and (I think)lived with her Mother until she died (poss. 1960s) but not sure if Redcar area. May has been living in Bournemouth, I assume since the 1970s. Any information would be of great interest and very much appreciated. Yours hopefully Alison Blewitt (Granddaughter to Rosalie Turner, nee Fligg) |
