Trying to find Whipp

I am trying to find any "Whipp's" in the Blackburn, UK area. My father was Ronald Michael Whipp born 24/4/1934 and was a twin with Robert Whipp who died in Ipoh, Malaysia whilst in the army in the 1950's. He was married to Julie Whipp and had 2 sons Anthony and David. My dad sadly died in 1996 and left me with various family papers; I have various paperwork regarding my uncle and I am trying to trace my 2 cousins or his wife. I don't know if they still live in the Blackburn area or not. I know I had an aunt called Georgina Webb who was born on 9 April 1925 in Blackburn (from my grandfather's first marriage who was my dad's step-sister. My dad's mother (Jennie Webb) died in about 1936 or so when my dad and brother were very young and my grandfather brought them up alone for some time. My grandfather lived at 12 Anvil Street, Blackburn (which has since been knocked down), then at 113 Whalley Range, Blackburn until his death in 1973. Julie Whipp (my aunt then lived at 75 Greenside Avenue, Blackburn. My father was previously married to a Freda Wrightson and they were married St Matthew Parish Church, Blackburn on 9 January 1954. She lived at 24 Oxford Street, Blackburn and worked as a "Slipper works Dept Controller". My dad at the time was a Trooper in the 5th Royal Inniskillings. I am in particular looking for my cousins or family in the Blackburn area - so if you are a "Whipp" or anyone sounds familiar who you know please contact me. Thanks Lesley Jones (nee Whipp)

Hi Tony, it is very unlikely that Lesley will see your post - if you click on her name, you can send her a direct message and as long as she still has the same email address, GR will advise her of it.

Also, you should remove your email address and probably your facebook id - against GR's T&Cs and for your own protection as this post will appear in internet posts.

If you need any help with your own research, come back to the boards.

For your own security, personal e-mails are not allowed on these insecure boards.

And the same, I would imagine, applies to facebook id's

To try to contact Lesley, click on her name and send a message.

As she posted only once, eleven years ago, you may find that she is no longer researching
