Hi Gillian and welcome to the boards

This is a very old thread and the chances of Samantha seeing your post is very slim.

To improve your chances of contact, click on her name and send her a private message. This as the added benefit of you being able to monitor whether or not she reads your message by looking in your sent message. (the envelope changes colour when read) Also GR will send her a message to the email they have on file saying she has a message whereas they will not notify additions to this thread.

Hi Samantha
I hope by now u may have found out what u wanted to know about your father.
Think I used to know him in early 1970s thro work but lost contact when I left the area, got married and had 3 children myself.
That was when I started doing some research to try and find my own missing
relatives and information about my past. I use this site now and then as well as the free ones at my local library.
Wonder if u looked thro possible marriages for your father after 1977 in case you have other family? Also by now u may have searched for his death.
Its good to have answers even if they arent what we want.

JOINED NAVY, MET SARAH ELIZABETH JONES, THEY MARRIED IN SINGAPORE 1968, I WAS BORN MARCH 1969 SINGAPORE, NICOLA BORN JUNE 1970 PORTSMOUTH, JENNIFER BORN 1971 HOOE, PLYMOUTH. MUM AND DAD DIVORCED 1977-78. HE LEFT NAVY MOVED SOMEWHERE IN LONDON, NOW RUMOURS OF HIS DEATH, WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE CAN ANYONE HELP. HIS MOTHER DOROTHY LILLIAN DIED APRIL 2002 WITHOUT TELLING HER GRAND DAUGHTERS THE WHOLE TRUTH
