I am looking for information for William Hen(d)ley birth place unknown. He married Sarah Neale from Middleton Cheney at St. Mary's Banbury on 14.12.1812. They settled in Brinklow, Warwickshire were he was a master canal boat builder. I would put his birth at c.1785. |

We have a William Henley born 1781 in Woburn Bedfordshire who disappears from the records after 1811. He married Ann White in 1805 and they had two sons John and William Ralph in 1810 and 1811 but all vanish except John who turns up in Brighton, Sussex in 1836 as a tailor. John's 1838 marriage certiificate gives his father's occupation as upholsterer but there's no corroborative evidence. Entirely possible that Ann died and William moved to Warwickshire. Do you have any census data? |

I had a very long hiatus away from here and research generally. Your family does not show up anywhere in mine. |

He is a possible in my eyes. Problem being that after that next thing is the marriage and the parish register only states the names of the bride and groom. I have been in touch with the brides family and they don't know any more then me. Neither can any of us find an entry of death for his wife. They really are like ghosts in the mist. |
