My father was Charles Andrew Christie Blanchett born 21 January 1920 and was known by his family as Jack. He died on 13 July 2002. When I was a child I remember a boy known as Forbes, a couple of years younger than me, visiting my father. It wasn't something that was talked about but we had our suspicions. It was a long time ago that you posted this query but I have just started researching my ancestry. |

I am trying to trace any Blanchett's related to Charles Jack Blanchett who was born around 1920. My father Forbes Charles Blanchett was an illigitimate child to Gladys Turner and Charles Blanchett in 1949. I am no longer in touch with my Dad but my Mum tells me that most of the Blanchett family would not acknowledge my Dad as part of their family. We are a coupld of generations down now and I would hope that the fact that my Dad was illigitimate would no longer matter. Would be glad to hear from anyone from my family of whom I know nothing about. |
