My sister & I are just starting out on researching our family tree. Our maiden name is Bailey so we looking at that line but we are also interested in our paternal grandmothers family whose name was Applebee. We do not have many leads as our grandparents and father are all deceased. We know that they our father was born in Brockley, London and our grandparents originate from this area. Our father: William Alfred Bailey 17/08/1939 - 27/10/1990 Our Grandfather: George Alexander Bailey - approx 1914 - 1993. Our Grandmother: Florence Maude Bailey (nee. Applebee) - we have no idea of birth or death. We do know that our paternal great grandmother was Maude Florence Applebee who passed away in 1952 aged 60. I know we are looking for needles in haystacks and don't have much to go on so to speak but any info would be much appreciated. We have applied for a couple of certificates and are awaiting their arrival. Many thank's, Donna.

Do you have any earlier Bailey details? my family came from the Hammersmith area and I many still live there although I have no contact with them.
