Barlborough now has its own Heritage Centre lots of visitors have deposited copies of their family trees you may find information there. They have lists of tenants who rented cottages off the lords of the manor plus a village plan C1835 with names of who lived where.The Heritage Centre does have its own website.

My froggatt connection is centred around the village of Wales in Yorkshire. Thomas Froggatt born circa 1804 marrried Hannah Windle and on her death Elizabeth Richardson. There were 22 chlldren , my link is via one of the youngest Joseph.
Thomas's family actually came from Barlborough and I have tenuous links back to 1700. THe links are from the work carried out by the former Froggatt society run by David Froggatt, sadly disbanded.

I am great-grandaughter to a William Froggatt born c1874 Manchester area married to Lilian Furber with two children (that I know of) Hilda and William Theodore

My grandad was a Froggatt - Charles Froggatt, he was born in Mansfield, Notts but his birth family were originally from Derby in particular Heanor - my grandad was adopted as baby but did keep in touch with his birth family.

I am descended from Froggatts. My gggrandmother was Eliza Froggatt, daughter of Edward Froggatt. Her mother may have been Margaret Shiply. Edward was born in 1780 =/- 1year. I'm not sure where he was born. Possibly in Staffs. Eliza married Charles Clarke in Handsworth Staffs in 1831. Their children were born in Birmingham. If this is of any interest to you I would love to hear from you. If there is any link between us I can let you have copies of some old documents (pre 1837) I have relating to Eliza.
