He married Ann Maria Tinkler 1876 in Sedgefield and they had children born in SEDGEFIELD and SPENNYMOOR - Isabella 1876, M. Elizabeth 1879, J. William 1880, Joseph 1881, Sarah 1883, George 1885, Albert 1887, Beatrice 1889, Edith Alice 1891 (my grandmother), Frederick 1893, Arthur 1894, Hilda 1895, Ada 1897.
