Hi, my name is Dianne Edwards nee Sims and have been tracing my family tree. I have not managed to get to Taunton Records Office yet but have traced the Symes / Sims family back to 1750. I then came across various websites with the first known Symes of Somerset being John Symes ( 1510 ) of Barwick Somerset thro to Thomas Symes (1605) of Chard, Somerset, various children went off to America and Antigua. I am concentrating on tracing the branches that stayed in England and trying to link them back up to 1750. Anyone with any info please help!!!
