Thank you for your replies, as you can see I've been a member of gene's for years but it's very rare that I post a message.

Hi Jacqueline and welcome to the boards

As you have recognised this is an old thread. GR do not notify of responses on thread so Susan may never know you are looking for her.

If you click on her name you will be able to send her a personal message. GR will notify her that she has a message and you will be able to monitor if she is active on the site because if you look in sent messages there will be a purple envelope if it remains unopened.

Good luck with your search

Hi Jacqueline and welcome to the boards.

As you've spotted, this is a very old post. You could send Susan/Claire a personal message by clicking on her name.

Even if she is no longer a member, GR will send her a notification email to the address she registered with. You can check if your message has been read by looking in your 'sent message' box. All the time there is an envelope icon next to it, it hasn't been accessed

Good luck

Jacqueline

If there is anyone who is researching the Sheffield Yorkshire side of the Staniforth family would they be able to be of some help. I am looking for any information on Joel Staniforth born 1815 Southy Green Nottinghamshire England. His father was Thomas Staniforth and mother Mary ?. As far as I know Joel had 4 children (3 boys 1 girl). Any information would be greatly appreciated Claire
