There's no other info, except that place of death was Fochabers - this isn't a death cert, just a parish register record.

As Beverley suggested, your George (husband of Catherine) was the son of Mary Mckay and George Snr:

1862 FYFE GEORGE MCKAY(mms) M 47 ST NICHOLAS ABERDEEN CITY/ABERDEEN 168/01 0291

But can't find any marriage anywhere in Scotland 1770-92 between a Fyfe (or variation) and a Mary Duncan - or any Duncan.

Impossible to track down Mary Duncan's birth - far too many Mary Duncans born outwith Morayshire - 65 of them 1760-1770.

We are assuming that George Jnr is the son of George Snr, and the grandson of Mary Duncan.

Assuming further that George Snr in 1841 is the same person as George (mms Duncan) who died in 1865, (although his YOB therefore varies from c1791 to c1788) I had a look for a possible birth record for him.

The only possibilities on ScotlandsPeople are these baptisms. The first one seems most likely:

All others in that timeframe have mothers whose surnames are not Duncan.

That would explain the Mary Duncan on the 1841 census.

I am trying to find any info on George Fyfe (born about 1816) Married to Cathrine Ross (B 1819) they married in 1844 at Bellie, Morayshire, Scotland and had 7 kids named George, Alexander, Mary, William, Charles, Isabella and James. Any info would be greatly received. Thanks Billy
