As Beverley suggested, your George (husband of Catherine) was the son of Mary Mckay and George Snr: |

But can't find any marriage anywhere in Scotland 1770-92 between a Fyfe (or variation) and a Mary Duncan - or any Duncan. |

We are assuming that George Jnr is the son of George Snr, and the grandson of Mary Duncan. |

As others have asked - what are you looking for, William? Presumably you've got the 1861 census, as you have the children's names? |

Possible for George in 1841 - the Snr is a bit of a puzzle, though: |

I am trying to find any info on George Fyfe (born about 1816) Married to Cathrine Ross (B 1819) they married in 1844 at Bellie, Morayshire, Scotland and had 7 kids named George, Alexander, Mary, William, Charles, Isabella and James. Any info would be greatly received. Thanks Billy |
