Barbara, are you still looking for info on Andrew? There is a public tree on Ancestry that has and Andrew married to Margaret, died NZ 1885; children: Elizabeth, 1836, Cadder; Agnes,1841, Cadder; Robert, 1844, Cadder and Janet, 1849, Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand.

Hi Nicholas,

I found your answer to my quest for Andrew today - don't know how I missed it. Andrew Dalziel was born about 1805 so his father Robert would have been born at least 20 years earlier. Sorry, but I don't think we have a match.

The robert dalziel in my tree was born in ayreshire in about 1826 and married mary howit. Could this be the same one.?

We are trying to find any links to Andrew Dalziel (hand loom weaver by trade) who, at the age of 30, was living in Cadder Parish, Lanarkshire. On his emigration papers to New Zealand in 1848 he listed his father as Robert Dalziel from Ayreshire. Please let me know if you have any information about Andrew or Robert or their family members.
