looking for a Margaret Ronaldson born 1806c in East Lothian married an Abner Baillie on 17 October 1829 in Ormiston. Brenda Baillie

Hi Brenda,
Not able to give you any positive information yet, but I can tell you that virtually all the 'Ronaldson's' in East Lothian are related. First East Lothian was known as 'Haddingtonshire' pre 1920's. They were prominent in the farming community and early 'Trade union Movement' which brought them into conflict with the Land owners. They are also related to the Ronaldson family in Mid Lothian especially from Borthwick. Another tie up is with the Martine family of Haddingtonshire and the Philips family from Fife. A large number of Ronaldson family members moved to Leith (Port of Edinburgh) in the mid to late 1800's because of crop failures and famine. Hope this may help, happy hunting, Mike Boyle-Ronaldson

There are ZERO posts against Brenda's name, which would suggest that she is no longer on GR's radar..............
