Hello Jane, it's 7 years since Deborah posted and she's never returned to the thread.

You could attempt to contact her by clicking on her name to send a direct message which she'll be notified if she's kept her account details up to date.

You could start a new thread of your own and people will try to help.

Hi,

I m also descended from Jeremiah Pinches and his wife Penelope's daughter Letitia. She married Thomas Kelsall in 1824, Chester, Cheshire. They had 7 children or maybe more. Jeremiah 's parents were Richard Pinches and Letitia Lateward. (yes, it's her surname). I would like more info about Richard's parents and children. I ve tried to search it.. Can you help?

Janet - both of the posts are quite old and the posters not likely to be looking in now - you could try making contact by clicking on their names to send a message via GR

In the meantime why not start a thread of our own by posting your information on Trying to Find rather than adding to this post, which quite frankly wonlt get you far. Best to do your own thread.

Hello!
Don't know if you can help at all Colin, but here goes. This goes way back, but basically I have an ancestor Susanna Evans born in Shropshire around 1745, married to Benjamin Legge. There are a couple of possible Susannahs, one of whom has mother Susannah Pinches, born Wistanstow I think. Does this ring any bells with you?
Thanks!

Hi, Deborah,
Just saw your post on GR, and felt that I had to contact you. My 5xgt grandfather was Richard Pinches who was living, and was married married in Shrewsbury (not a million miles from Shifnal) in around the 1740's I would guess. He married someone called Letitia, unfortunately I don't know her surname. They married in the old St Chad's church. They had three sons who I have been able to find. They were, Richard(2), Charles, who both died prior to 1756, and Jeremiah, who was my 4xgt grandfather. Jeremiah later moved to Chester, and married there in 1776. He married Penelope Barlow (or Barlem). They had numerous children, all of whom I have traced. One of these was Thomas Pinches who was to become my 3xgt grangfather. I know this is a long shot, but I was wondering, due to the close proximity of Shifnal to Shrewsbury, whether Richard Pinches may have in fact been born elsewhere other than Shrewsbury. If there is no connection, it has still been nice to contact someone whose ancestors were living close to my own, and sharing the same surname. All my immediate family hail from Chester, in a direct line from the aforementioned, Jeremiah Pinches.

Cheers,

Colin

Am trying to locate anybody researching the Pinches name going back to Shifnal Shropshire. I have Francis Pinches my 3xgt Grandad brn c1814 who married Eliza Kirkham c1816, they married in shifnal Shropshire in 1836. Does it tie in with anyone else.
