Welcome to the boards Abigail.

It is unlikely that Rosemary will see your post after all these years. You could try clicking on her name and sending a private message. If she still has a current email address registered with GenesReunited then she will be informed that she has a message from you.

Hello,

First of all sorry for such a late reply. I have only just come across this post whilst googling Robert's wartime heroics.

My mum is called Helen and her dad was Bob "Robert Frost". My grandama is Mavis. I've shown this post to my mum and from the information you provided this is 100% out family. My mum said he had a brother called George.

Please let me know if you're still looking.

Thanks Abigail

We are trying to trace my husband's uncle. His name is Robert Frost Chalmers, he was born on 9th October 1921 in Dundee. His brother, George, emigrated to Rhodesia in 1955 and the last time they saw each other was in 1962 when George and his wife Liz visited the UK. At that time Robert was living in Leeds. Robert had served with the army during WW2, was injured and was awarded a medal for bravery. After the war he worked as a piano tuner but later became a male nurse. He married Mavis Walker on 2nd April 1955 in Leeds. Not sure whether there were any children.
