Trying to find Nash

Thanks for the suggestion Jax - I have now sent her a private message as well.
For anyone interested in this query, I have since viewed the Nash/Reed marriage register, and it seems that Emily Mabel Reed's father was James Reed, soldier. So this must be a different person, as my Emily Mabel Reed's father was a deceased John Reed, cab driver - disappointing as the location as well as the name seemed a match. It pays to be careful!

I am currently researching my husband's Boorman line, and I recognize the name Emily Mabel Reed - we think she was born about 1886 in London, baptised as Emily Mabel in 1886 in Whitechapel St Mary London, and lived in Clerkenwell in 1911. She was listed as Mabel, daughter of Clara A Reed [nee Henham]. Her father John Reed had died about 1906. However, she wasn't listed with this family in earlier census, which is a puzzle. The Henhams are connected to the Boormans.... As to Emily's marriage to Herbert Nash, I have found their marriage indexed in freeBMD in Q3 1916 in Holborn RD (includes Clerkenwell). Do you happen to know if their parents' names are listing in their marriage registration document? I'd like to confirm I have the right Emily Mabel Reed (not an uncommon name)? If so, we will have a distant connection... Sorry I don't know anything about the Nash family.... Thanks for any help you can give.

My grandad was Herbert George Nash born in Clerkenwell 1886. maried Emily mabel Reed. His siblings are: Minnie b 1875 John b 1884 Richard b 1886 Henrietta b 1888 and Frank b 1891. Does anyone have any info to share on any of them at all? Minnie I understand in 1891 was a waitress in a vegetarian restaurant frequented by Ghandi when he was studying law in London. Many thanks for any help you may be able to give me. Christine MacDonald
