Is this the third marriage?

West Yorkshire, England, Marriages and Banns, 1813-1935

Name: Thomas Redhead (widower, overlooker of Lancaster)
Birth Year: abt 1832
Age: 47
Marriage or Bann Date: 3 Aug 1879
Parish: Keighley, St Mary Eastwood
Father's Name: Thomas Redhead - toll collector
Spouse's Name: Ellen Bennett (43 a widow, winder of Eastwood)
Spouse's Father's Name: Richard Sandham - wool comber

Witnesses: Jesse Wright and Magret Hodgson

Thomas' father's occupation has changed.

It looks like Ellen may have been Mary's sister

Hello Eloise,

I realise that this point may be completely usless as you wrote your message 6 years ago. But I have Redheads from Lancaster on my tree. The Redhead I have married one of my relatives, and if i recall correctly, when she died he married her first cousin. All the information I have on him is that his name was Thomas Redhead born about 1830.

He married

Mary Sandham in 1863

Elizabeth Sandham - unknown

then Ellen Bennett in 1879

They all lived in Lancaster and worked in the mills.

If any of this is sounded familiar, contact me and i'll be happy to share more information with you :)

I hope you get this message :)

from Sarah :)

I'm looking for any Redhead links to Lancashire and Cumbria in the 1800s.

I have got as far back as William (wife Elizabeth), born c1870s. He was born in Skerton, Lancs.

Subsequent generations were born in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria.

If you have any links to these areas, or any other information, I'd be glad for the help. Thanks!
