not much, unfortunately.

Have you looked in your Sent messages to see if the message you sent via GR still has a green envelope next to it?

That means that the message has not been opened.

If it has not been opened ........ it can mean that the email address has changed and she did not notify GR

OR it can mean that she has become incapacitated, died, or lost all interest.

Unfortunately, there is no way to determine which it is.

You could start your own thread on the Find Living Relatives Board, and see if anyone who helps on that board has any suggestions for you.

What can I do if her email address has changed?

To try to contact Janet...click on her name

If her e-mail hasn't changed in the 7 years since she posted, GR will notify her

Were you adopted shortly after birth in 1957? Was your birth surname Cotton? If so you maybe my half sister. I believe your birth mother was Betty Cotton, from Bolton, possibly a hairdresser. We share the same father, Donald Hayes also from Bolton. Please contact me if you think we could be related. Many thanks. Janet
