Ann Fairbrother Looking For 'Corradines' My Grandfather, William Joseph Corradine was born in Poplar in East London in 1877. His father, also William Corradine is listed in the 1891 Census as having been born in Staffordshire, My Mother always believed that he emigrated to Australia, (he sent money home twice to have my Greatgrandmother and children join him but she spent the money on gin and never went- or so the story goes) but the 1901 census lists my Greatgrandmother, Lydia, as a widow. My Grandfather had 2 sisters Triphina and Elizabeth and a brother John (known as Jack)My Grandmother was called Alice Emma and was born in Plaistow East London in 1874. Her Maiden name was Colvin. They had 4 surviving children. William, George, Stanley and my mother Pamela Joan, she alone survives and is 84 in July 2003.
