My name is Teresa Fry and I am related to Caleb Diplock through my great grandmother on my mothers side of the family. Caleb Diplock owned a hotel in Eastbourne of the same name during the early 1900's he died in 1936 as there is a well documented probate case of his where he left his estate to variouse trusts as he had no children, but his non direct family contested and this went on over a number of years. I think he was born to a Caleb Diplock of Southdown Hall in Rotherfield East Sussex in 1843. There was a Diplock Brewery in Eastbourne around this time as well. Can anyone help me to fill in any gaps please. |
