The name weatherer derives from the occupation that our ancestors had when they emmigrated from russia around 1690.A weatherer is someone who castrates rams! The first weatherer members were romany gypsies who travelled around england working for farmers. The base of the weatherer family is staffordshire, though some settled in the south and south west of the country.Anyone tracing their roots are welcome to contact me, i may be able to help!
