A LOT OF OUR TYSONS ARE SCOTTISH IN ORIGIN THE NAME TYSON COMES FROM THE OLD FRENCH TISON MEANING FIREBRAND THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL EARLY RECORDINGS OF TYSON WHICH INCLUDE GILBERT TYSON 1086 ADAM TYSON RECORDED IN DOMESDAY BOOK IN 1130 IN THE COUNTY OF YORKSHIRE
