Hi Marie
It was very interesting to read you note about the Grose family.
My grt grt grandmother was Mary Jane Grose and I have been unable to find any evidence of her parents. I know she was born around 1850 and married to James Coad in 1868 in Kanmantoo, the same time and place as Amelia Grose was born. The marriage certificate does not say who her father was and that her mother was Mary Grose and the wedding was in the home of Mary Grose at Kanmantoo.

I would love to know that she was the older sister of John Spargo Grose and the other siblings. I would love to hear from you if you have gained any more information over the years.

My great grandmother is Elizabeth Spargo GROSE born on 7.12.1857 in Burra South Australia. Her parents were John GROSE and Mary nee TREGAY. She had an older brother John Spargo GROSE born about 1852 in Gunnislake, Devon, ENGLAND and younger brothers I found were: Jonathon Spargo GROSE born 27.9.1860 Woodchester S Aust. James Henry Spargo GROSE born 8.12.1862 Woodchester SA. Amelia GROSE born 6.9.1868 Kanmantoo, South Australia. My name is Marie Perry [email protected]
