Jane - if you go to the left hand side of this page you'll see the link "My Threads". Clicking on that will take you back to your previous threads. Find the one about your gg grandmother MacKnight and add a new post to it. It'll come to the front of the boards and we can take another look for you.

Hi
Thanks for getting back to help me I thought I might not get anything back as I
noticed the date that Christine had posted it was a few years old.
I have posted before asking if anyone could help me with information on my
gg grandmother's name of MacKnight, but because it looks like she came from
Ireland as my gg grandfather did, and some of there children were born in Ireland
before coming to County Durham I have had no luck, its the one name in my family that has had me stumped, will just have to keep trying.
Kind regards
Jane.

Hi Jane - as you have noticed, this is an old posting and Christine unlikely to be looking foir a reply now - she may still be a member, so click on her board name to send a message via GR - if she has the same email address, she will receive it

In the meantime, why not start a posting of your own - you'll get lots of help :-)

Hi Chris,
Your message went on a few years ago so not sure if you will see this but will give it a try. My gg grandmother Elizabeth ( Eliza ) MacKnight was born c1818 she
married my gg grandfather Robert Maughan ( McMahon ) in Comber, Ireland, the
family are first shown on the English census 1851 under the name McMahon in
County Durham, the other MacKnight and jis family living in the same Street is Thomas MacKnight, I oicked my gg grans Maiden name up from children born in
England off Birth Certificates. I have tried hard to link Elizabeth and Thomas and because they are both down as from Ireland but up till now nothing, I have found
the MacKnight name very hard to progress with. I don't know if this is of any help but thought I would send you the information.
Regards
Jane
