Ann,

To send a pm (personal message) to the poster called 'Cool breeze' - just go to the top of his/her message and click on the name 'Cool breeze' a box will then open up for you to type in your message. If they still have the same e-mail address as they had when they registered with the GR site then they will receive a message from GR saying that you are trying to make contact. They can then look at your message and reply to you.

Hi there.

And many thanks for your reply. I am not really up to speed with this stuff yet.i only joined last night.
I will email the person if I find their address..

I am fine using these things as I have an iPad. And also did a lot of training courses on computers before I left the NHS a couple of years ago.it just takes me a little while to work it all out.

Ann, welcome to the boards. You've noticed the post was 10 years ago. You could try clicking on the name Cool breeze and send her/him a personal message. If she/he still has the same email address that they registered with GR they can be notified there is a message in the system. Pot luck that they open it or answer though, for a variety of reasons after all this time.

My name is Ann Ashworth nee Conway. Mary Dewhurst and James Evans were my great grandparents. I am retired now and live in wales i was brought up by my grandmother Rosina Freshney.
I notice your post was from 2006 , ten years ago. So have no idea if you are still searching or keeping up with the post!

Hi, I'm trying to find information on MARY DEWHURST married to JAMES EVANS 1898 they had a daughter ROSINA born 17/2/1907,in Cheadle, Gt Manchester. Mary's father was William who is deceased on Mary's marriage cert 1898, he was a cotton millhand. ROSINA married FREDERICK GEORGE FRESHNEY 12/03/1927. It is MARY'S birth and place where she was born that i would like, so if you can help it would be much appreciated. I have tried all other avenues, but without success. Thanking you in advance. Micheal.
