Hi James,

My name is Angus Loney, I am a genealogist from Kirkintilloch, I met your parents through your brother Paul.

Your parents were the most polite couple I have ever met, I met Paul back in 1978, we went to youth club discos at the parochial hall on a Wednesday and Sunday evenings. I haven't seen Paul in over 30 years.

I used to pop into the town hall in Kirkintilloch and sit with your dad, he would often tell me of his time in the military. One thing he never told me in the 15 years I knew him, that was that he was an M.B.E.

I'll get to the point. I was talking to a man called Fraser Gartshore, They met through your dad being the caretaker for the Masonic lodge. I had told him about the respect I had for your dad and said how kind your parents were to me. That conversation was last night. Within 20 minutes I found your message above.

As a way of paying back that kindest, If I can help research your family any further please feel free to get in touch. My email address is [email protected] please pass on my regards to Paul.

Kindest regards,

Angus

Hi Angus, as you can see the date on James' post is over 10 years ago. He almost certainly won't be looking at the thread still so click on his name to send a message, if he does still have the same email address he will receive notification from GR that there is a message for him. Even if he is not a paying member now he will still be able to reply.

It's also adviseable, as GR suggests,to remove your email address from your post to protect your privacy.
