IRENE ERVINE I am trying to find an Irene Ervine who lived in Huddersfield during the last world war.She was married once to a Frank Small and had two boys to him,Brian and Robert Francis. The father took the boys with him when they divorced.

Looking at freebmd, Irene's maiden name was IRVING and her boys were both born in Halifax.

Maybe Irene re-married.

If the boys stayed in Yorkshire, there is a marriage for Robert F Small in Hull

If she married in the 1940's then she most likely is now deceased

Have you looked on FreeBMD for a possible new marriage for her

Do you know when and where Irene was born?

The marriage cert would be useful as it would give you details of how old she was when she married and details regarding her father.

So she could have re-married

Have you done anything about looking for info since 2003?

The chances of her being alive are even slimmer now then they were 12 years ago

It was unusual for fathers to be awarded custody in that era.............

In which year was the divorce?

Seeing as she married and had the boys in Halifax reg district this looks a good possibility
