I am trying to trace members of my late Grandfather's family. His name was George Barker (born Oct 1887, died 1934 aged 47), originated from Scarborough, he was also in the Royal Horse Artillary during World War I. Worked on Immingham Docks, married my late grandmother, Ruth Evans and lived in Cleethorpes. He also worked on the Trawlers (going from Grimsby Docks), with my late grt Uncles Alf, Tom and Jack Evans (who were Trawler Skippers). My Grandfather had 2 children my father and my Aunt. He had three sisters, one was named Mariah (married name Jack Watkins - had 2 children, Doreen and Jack), Lilly and Mary. I have been told that my father's great grandfather(or great, great) was the Bishop of Leeds, but we don't know whether it was maternal or paternal. There was also a male cousin, Fred Barker, who lived in Milford Haven, he was in the Navy/Merchant Navy during the war. Please contact me if you have any information.
