He married my ancestor Ann Forbes GORDON December 20, 1849 at St Cuthberts, Edinburgh and was with the Bengal Medical Service in India. They had six children: George Stevenson born 3.11.1850 who entered the Bengal Civil Service; William Stevenson born 20.4.1853 who became a doctor and died in 1942; John Stevenson born 23.3.1860 who became a clergyman; Annie Gordon Stevenson born 1882. Maud Stevenson; and Gordon Stevenson born 1891. Any further information would be much appreciated!! Alistair
