I would be interested to make contact with any relatives of Dr. Matthew STOVELL who married my ancestor Mary Anne GORDON Jul7 10, 1838 at St Pancras Old Church, London. He was born September 10, 1806 at St George's, Hanover Sq. the son of George Stovell and Elizabeth Caroline of 3 Lower Grosvenor Street, Middx. He trained as a surgeon and applied to join the Medical Department of the EIC as an Asst Surgeon in 1828. On April 4, 1862 he was appointed Inspector General of the Medical Dept and he retired April 6,1867. Any further information would be much appreciated!! Alistair
