Scannell: Just found out that Denis Scannells father was Jeremiah and his mother Mary Reeves, there may have been other children, namely Charles and Emily, Denis was born 1886 in Killorglin Ireland, and named his children Jeremiah, Michael Joseph, Mary -Ellen and Hannah. Denis Married Catherine Shanahan. Other names connected to my Scannells through marriage are Fitzgeralds, O'Sullivan, McCarthy, Tobin, (Chris Tobin wrote the book 'The Casbah') and Shanahan. Denis was known as 'Owd Dinny' around Tralee and by all accounts was a good street fighter and a character around the town. His son Michael Joseph, invented the first wheeled cart for the Blennerhassets of Ireland. If any of these details ring a bell please contact me. Irene
