I am looking for relatives of my Grandfather John McNamara, they are said to have gone to America leaving him behind in Ireland with an elderly relative as he was a sickly child and they did not feel he would survive the journey, on his marriage certificate he states his fathers name as William, mothers not known, there is said to have been 2 older sisters, John was born either 1883 or 1885, the elderly relative he lived with died when he was six and he spent the rest of his childhood in an Orphanage in the Finglass area of Dublin, I hope someone might recognise this story from their family, thank you Maureen Judd. |
