Lawrence Mills and French wife Henrietta: Lawrence came from Cockerton Co Durham and was born abt 1788. In 1816 he married a lady by the name of Henrietta (or more probably Henriette). Henrietta was French and a widow surnamed Hill or Hall when she married Lawrence. This couple are my x3 great grand parents and I am trying to locate any other cousin researchers of this Mills clan. It's a 'common as muck name' but if any of the following are true of your tree there may well be a connection and I'd love to hear from you: - Mills/Bell with connections to Craghead Co Durham in late C19 early C20 - The names Lawrence, Henrietta, Rebecca and Samuel all occuring in the same family - The surnames Witton, Robinson Gibson or Lawson used as a first or middle name. Esp. The name Thomas Witton Mills. - Mills connections to cockerton at the turn of the C19 or later to Great Stainton, Co Durham
