I have traced my SINCLAIR ancestors back to the early 18th century. The earlier generations were from Sanday, Orkney, but my gt.gt. grandfather, James Fotheringham SINCLAIR (b.1853) left the island before 1881. He married in Glasgow, his first son was born in Edinburgh, and subsequent children were born in the London/Croydon area, where the family settled. I would like to hear from anyone who may have a connection.
