My mother was born in 1922, Evelyn Hutson. She woked in the War Office, in London. After the war she married Thomas Spencer, near Russell Square, London. They moved to Brighton, sussex and had a daughter, Carrol, born 30/12/1948. He was a chef, and they were living in a rented flat. he vanished and was later found to be a bigamist. It also appears that he may not actually have existed under that name! there are many uncanny and unpleasant notes along the way. Can anyone help from the late 1940's in brighton?
