I am trying to find the marriage of Robert Duncan to Mary McLaren circa 1790`s possibly in Leith?Midlothian Their son George was born in Leith in 1797 George married Jane Muirhead 26/4/1835 in Livingston West Lothian.Children were Robert born 1837 in Blackburn West Lothian,Thomas Duncan born 1842 Blackburn West Lothian Jane Duncan born 1848 in Blackburn West Lothian.Thomas Duncan was my maternal Grandfather who married Elizabeth McLeod 13/11/1877.My mother was born Margaret 2nd(therewas another Margaret who died very young)My mother birth was 13/9/1887 She married David Melvin 1/1/1918 in Glasgow.If anyone can shed some light re Robert Duncan and Mary McLaren,their births marriages or deaths I would love to hear from them.I have may more names I can share.Many thanks in anticipation..Jim Melvin |
